About Our Program

Dynamo Juniors has come to Central Texas to launch a unique developmental program for the elite-level player to truly develop and advance to the college or professional ranks. This is all under the same umbrella, at the same club, starting at Under-8 and going through Under-18.  In a sports town ruled by orange, it makes sense for a revolution in soccer to happen in the same color; introducing the Dynamo Juniors of Central Texas (DJCT).

DJCT has become the only MLS-affiliated soccer club in Central Texas and is one of six Dynamo Juniors satellite programs in the country.  Further, the Houston Dynamo launched the Houston Dash in 2014, who play at the highest level of professional women's soccer in the U.S., the National Women's Soccer League (NWSL).  The Dynamo and Dash now provide direct pathways for both boys and girls within DJCT to the highest level of soccer in either gender in the U.S.

Other satellite programs are located in:  Texas, Louisiana, and Florida.

Dynamo Juniors of Central Texas will wear the same uniforms as the Houston Dynamo MLS team.  The players will be in a club that is at the highest-level of professional soccer in the United States.

Dynamo Juniors of Central Texas, along with other satellite programs will have an exclusive invitation to attend Dynamo weekend in Houston to participate in friendlies with the other Dynamo Juniors programs.  The teams will also attend an MLS match on Dynamo Juniors' weekend.

The Dynamo will also host a yearly College Showcase in Houston for the Dynamo Juniors boys and girls high-school aged teams.  These teams will be seen by college coaches in a more intimate setting and gives players the best opportunity to catch the eye of their future coaches.

The girls side of the program will have the potential to earn an invitation to train with the Houston Dash, who play in the highest professional level (NWSL) in the U.S. for women's soccer.

The boys side of the program will have the potential to earn an invitation to train with the Dynamo Academy (U16 & U18) in Houston and participate in tournaments with the club.
  •
Dynamo Academy players have been invited to train with the first team, which is a unique opportunity in Central Texas.
  •
The Dynamo Academy teams play in the U.S. Soccer Development Academy League and is a no-pay program that puts the best kids in the Dynamo system to train and play together in the top events in the country (Dallas Cup Elite bracket, etc.).
  •
Four players from the Dynamo Academy have been signed to professional contracts to play with the Houston Dynamo MLS team.
  •
The Dynamo can also provide the opportunity to sign with the Dynamo MLS team but still go to college to earn a degree, the perfect scenario.

DJCT can look to host an MLS/NWSL preseason exhibition game in Austin with the Houston Dynamo/Dash, giving the Dynamo Juniors a firsthand look at training & a game from the professional players.

Seven Dynamo Academy players have gone on to professional contracts, including 4 Houston Dynamo 1st team players, 1 Vancouver (MLS), 1 Tampa Bay (USL DII) and 1 in Honduras.

Every player from the Houston Dynamo Academy, that has graduated high school and the Academy program, has either gone on to play college soccer (with scholarship) at colleges including UNC, Duke, Notre Dame and SMU or professional soccer.

Players will have the chance to travel to Europe with the Dynamo Academy. A recent trip for the Dynamo Academy included playing Glasgow Rangers, Celtic, Real Madrid and Barcelona.

The Dynamo Juniors players could play in the MLS Showcase tournaments that are for MLS Academy programs ONLY.
