I was born and raised in Austin TX, grew up playing soccer all my life with local Austin club teams. I am a former D-II college player for the University of The Incarnate Word in San Antonio TX and former semi-pro for the Austin Lightening.

I am a firm believer of “how you train reflects how you play on the pitch. You can’t train at 50-75% and expect to give a solid 100% performance on match day. That is not how well-rounded players are formed.” I believe all of this starts with the player’s mentality. It is our job as a coach to not only train on technique but to recalibrate the mind to give it 110% in every aspect of the game and to build confidence in each individual player. The youth years are the most critical to develop this attitude in order to progress to each individual’s dream.

My favorite club team is FC Barcelona. Their style has always resonated with me- Lots of touches on the ball, building plays from the back, defense starts with the forwards, communication on the field, and constant movement off the ball. Soccer is a beautiful sport to watch, but the beauty can only be achieved by unity and collective hard work.

“A dream doesn't become reality through magic; it takes sweat, determination, and hard work.”
